The Miltex Petite Syringe was especially designed to meet the needs of dental professionals who prefer a more comfortable, form-fitting syringe than the standard size syringe.  The Petite Syringe was crafted to maximize comfort by reducing the ring handle size and shortening the harpoon rod. 

The reduced thumb ring diameter eliminates the excess gap while still allowing just enough room for comfort and ease, and the new oval shape of the ring handle fits naturally to the contours of the thumb.  The edges on the ring handle have also been rounded to create a smooth and soft feel during use.  Additionally, the base of the ring handle is slightly flared to ease pressure while dispensing anesthetic.  The combination of all these features is unique to the Miltex Petite Syringe and makes it ergonomical by design. 

On the harpoon rod, the length has been shortened to reduce the strain from the distance that must be pulled back during aspiration.

FAQs

  • Does the petite syringe leave a significant amount of anesthetic left in the cartridge?
    • The petite syringe does leave a very small amount of anesthetic left in the cartridge due to the shorted harpoon rod.  However Miltex found that the remaining amount of anesthetic left was acceptable to most clinicians because the syringe was much easier to use. 
  • Is the syringe made of aluminum?
    • No, the Miltex Petite Syringe is made from chrome plated brass and it will not fade with sterilization.
  • Does the Petite Syringe come in color options?
    • No, the Miltex Petite Syringe is chrome plated brass therefore; it can not come in color options.
  • Do I need to purchase special anesthetic carpules for the petite syringe?
    • No, the Miltex Petite Syringe accepts any standard 1.8cc carpules.
